Despite the varied theories espoused by many establishment economists, it was none other than the Federal Reserve that caused the Great Depression and the horrific suffering, deprivation and dislocation America and the world experienced in its wake. At least, that's the clearly stated view of current Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke.

Great Depression, which persisted from 1929 until about 1939, was the longest and worst depression ever experienced by the industrialized Western world. While originating in the U.S., it ended up causing drastic declines in output, severe unemployment, and acute deflation in virtually every country on earth. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, "the Great Depression ranks second only to the Civil War as the gravest crisis in American history."

In "A Monetary History of the United States," Nobel Prize-winning economist Milton Friedman along with coauthor Anna J. Schwartz lay the mega-catastrophe of the Great Depression squarely at the feet of the Federal Reserve.

Bernanke ended his speech with...Let me end my talk by abusing slightly my status as an official representative of the Federal Reserve. THE TAMIFLU MYTH

What Big Pharma and the CDC Forgot to Tell the Doctors -- ("The Letter to Doreen")

Tamiflu was developed several years ago after lab tests showed it slowed the replication of viruses in the lab dish. Tests in humans showed it reduced the normal 5 to 7 day course of Flu by 1.5 to 2.5 days.

It did not prevent, cure nor reduce the effects of Flu. At best it is a palliative or pain reliever to "treat the symptoms," but not cure to the disease.

Most medical doc- tors mistakenly believe in the "anti-body" response of the immune system as the method by which the body fights viral infections. But not so. The body causes a fever above 101 degrees which stops the telemeres on the ends of the virus from allowing any viral replication.

The fever is the human or mam- malian body's primary generalized immune system response to any viral infection. Any palliative treatment which reduces the fever of flu infections will prolong the infection and may lead to irreparable damage or death, mostly from the resulting viral pneumonia. But the pneumonia was caused by lowering the fever and allowing uncontrolled viral replication in the lungs. Most cold and flu medications, including aspirin and Tamiflu are in this palliative class.

In the last two years, doctors have been treating patients who have H5N1 Bird Flu. The results are that 50% or half of the treated patients die of viral pneumonia. Were the deaths caused by a "new" more virulent strain of Bird Flu or was it the "new" use of a new anti-viral called Tamiflu? A good doctor would know the difference...                        (Continued here)

You state,"large quakes occur on high and low moons and not new and full moon" please explain how you came up with this theory. -- Chero

Chero -- This is NOT a "theory" -- it is a scientific observation. In 1990 I used a USGS dataset of all 4,000 major earthquakes during the 20th century. I did a computer analysis comparing each quake to the motions of the moon -- right/left, in/out, and up/down. These are called syzygy, perigee, and latitude. I found no correlation with the tidal forces from syzygy or perigee. The moon moves up and down 28 degrees or a total of 56 degrees, which is not correlated to the phases of the moon.

I found a strong daily correlation with the up/down motions. This large off-equator angled force should cause the earth to wobble. But instead, only the thin freely moving continents floating on the liquid mantle actually wobble. We call those wobble motions earthquakes.

    In 1994, a copy of this data was mailed to each of the scientists at the USGS in Menlo Park. The "geoscience priesthood" seems to have ignored the evidence. They only "believe" that earthquakes are caused by forces internal to the earth. But who does a better job of predicting earthquakes, the USGS or the BroJon Gazette?            -- BroJon
