SCIENCE AND THE PONTIFF
"The Belief in the Priesthood of the New Science"
- What you weren't Told about Truth
"DON'T TELL ME THE TRUTH -- TELL ME THE FACTS"
First a short note for Digest readers. The last edition of the Digest with the three simple experiments which the readers can do to "prove" the "truth" about the claims of the "greenhouse priesthood" seems to have hit home. It's time for the BroJon readers to spread the "truth" through emails and chat rooms, so that the "truth" can spread around the world. Let me know what kind of response you get from the people to whom you tell about the three experiments.
A reader named Andrew just sent me a very important email:
"I read with interest your explanation about the different topics that they are based on theories and faulty scientific data. "Don't tell me the truth, show me the facts and I find my truth" or something like that. Very good."
"There is one thing that you didn't consider. (Maybe you did). The movement of the sun and the earth is ALSO a theory, (according to Copernicus himself and it is STILL an assumption) yet you DO present it as a fact! Please correct me if I am wrong!"
CENTRAL BELIEFS OF MODERN SCIENCE
-- Andrew, that is a most important question and gets right to the very heart of the matter about where modern "Science" has gone wrong and stepped over the bounds, and how the "new priesthood of science" has now gone into the business of belief systems and "Religion."
Everyone today assumes that the earth goes around the sun. But is that a truth or a fact? It was the very center of the greatest debate between religion and science, that has raged for over 400 years. And it turns out the Religion method was Correct. And no I don't mean biblical religion. But the "religion" of the new mind-control "scientific priesthood." Let me explain.
In the early 1500's the Catholic priest Copernicus, who was also an educated mathematician and astronomer, had found a simple way to calculate the motions of the five observable planets by assuming that they all orbited around the sun. This also "implied" that the earth also went around the sun, but that was not the point of the Copernican system. Simply put, it was a math tool. It was a simple math "fact" which was very useful for doing calculation. Copernicus wisely said nothing about his discovery, and it was not published until after his death.
GALILEO AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
Galileo Galilee, was also a devout Catholic and friend and confidant of the Pope in the Vatican. Galileo glommed onto the newly published book by Copernicus, and added his own observations, through the first astronomical telescope, that some little lights, or moons appeared to be orbiting around Jupiter. Galileo then made the outrageous claim that the earth orbits around the sun, and not the other way around. At first the Church had no problem with Galileo's new book and his claims. But when Galileo actually started teaching his new theory to his university students, all hell broke loose.
The Pope roared, "Whoa Galileo, you've gone to far. OK. Everybody out of the pool. Galileo you have broken the law." (That's a rough translation of the Vatican text.) Then Galileo was arrested, tried and convicted for teaching false "truths." But what was Galileo's crime? Did the Church deny that it appeared that the earth goes around the sun? NO. That was not a problem. No churchman ever complained when Copernicus claimed a simple way to calculate the motion of the planets by using a mathematical model of the planets going around the sun.
THE CRIME OF GALILEO
No, Galileo's crime was his claim that, if the earth goes around the sun, then he was also making the claim that the earth "MOVES." Making that claim as a "Truth" was something which the Catholic Church could not tolerate. The reason was that maybe the earth did move, but it cannot be felt, touched, smelled, tasted or sensed in any way. Since it could not be "sensed" or physically proven it must be false. That was Galileo's crime.
To understand this crime, we need to look at how the ancient Greek "science" during the previous golden age from about 200BC had been turned into a new "priesthood religion" which lead to the second dark ages of mind-control which lasted from about 300AD to about 1600AD. During this dark age, the new "science-priests" had divided all of human knowledge into two parts. All of the old Greek and Roman science which was based on physical observations and could be confirmed by scientific experiment was called "scientific" and was allowed by the Church. And that included mathematical models such as the Copernican system of planets going around the sun.
But any knowledge or facts which could not be "sensed" or tested by physical experiment was determined to be "spiritual." And only the Church could make declarations about "spiritual truths." The Church priesthood of the second Dark Age claimed that right only for themselves.
ENTER THE PONTIFF
The Church for 2,000 years has developed this system into a "spiritual science" by a technique called "The Pontiff." You never knew that, and only assumed that "Pontiff" was merely another name or title for the Pope. Not so. It is the basis for the Church's "scientific-system" of mind-control for deriving spiritual "truths." The Pontiff is usually the Pope, but not necessarily so. They are two separate functions or stations, which traditionally have been assigned to the same person.
In the Catholic system of "spiritual truths" a "pontiff" is chosen by a committee to be the one who determines "truth." The term "pontiff" comes from the Latin word for "bridge." The Pontiff was elected to be the one human person who crosses the bridge from the physical world and travels into the spiritual world, then brings back the "spiritual truth" from somewhere on high. Only the Pope is empowered by the "pontiff" system to be able reach across the bridge into the spiritual world and then tell the truth as he saw it to this physical world by encyclicals and homilies. This system of non-physical "spiritual truth" has been successfully run by the Catholic Church for 2,000 years, but it sure ran into a problem with Galileo, about 400 years ago.
GALILEO AS THE NEW PONTIFF
Galileo had made the claim that the earth "moves." But that fact could not be sensed nor felt. So that fact must be, by church definition, a "spiritual fact." And then, only a factoid and not any truth. And yet Galileo was not only claiming it as a fact, he was teaching it in the university as a "spiritual Truth" which could not be physically sensed. But only the Pontiff can make statements about "spiritual Truth." Galileo had jumped completely over the College of Cardinals and had elected himself as a "new Pontiff" who could make statements about "spiritual truths" that cannot be sensed or felt.
To the Catholic church, this was the same as Galileo, as a "new self-styled Pontiff," proclaiming that, "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten daughter, Luci..." This was so against the Church teachings, that the Church could not tolerate such inane behavior, especially from someone claiming only to be a scientist. What do scientists know about the spiritual world? No College of Cardinals had elected Galileo as a "new Pontiff" to make such non-physical claims which could not be sensed in the physical world.
THE NEW SCIENTIFIC PONTIFF
I should note that this is the same "pontiff" system used today by the new "greenhouse priesthood" who uses a "College of Cardinals" called a "consensus of scientists" to make claims about global warming and climate change, even though no "physical" or real scientific data "proves" their claim of Truth. In fact, in the last Digest, I provided three simple scientific "experiments" which anyone can "experience" to determine their own facts and then decide for themselves about what is Truth. The "greenhouse priesthood" is guilty of the same fallacy of logic and overstepping the bounds of reality, in the same way Galileo had done in making such outrageous claims about the Truth of the earth moving. There is no way of proving such a claim.
The problem for Galileo was that in the 1500's, there were no observations or scientific experiments which would show or even give an inkling that the earth moved. And it certainly couldn't be felt or experienced. Two hundred years later two scientific experiments were done to prove that the earth, in fact, did move.
EXPERIMENT ONE -- AS THE WORLD TURNS
Run to your bathroom and flush the toilet. Notice that the water always swirls in one direction as it goes down the drain. It goes one way in the northern hemisphere and the other way in the southern hemisphere. This "scientific" or physical observation is created by something called the Coriolis Force and is caused by the rotation of the earth. The proof is that the force is strongest nearer the poles of the earth, and is zero on the equator where the water does not swirl. Thus in the 1700's, Galileo could have done a proof that the earth moves, but it was 200 years too late for Galileo. Actually the much earlier "golden age" Greek scientists in 200BC, such as Aristotle and Ptolemy were on the very verge of making such breakthrough scientific observations about the earth moving, except for one thing - they didn't have any toilets.
EXPERIMENT TWO -- FOUCAULT'S PENDULUM
Go to your local museum or planetarium, and find that huge metal ball which hangs from the ceiling and seems to rotate around slowly like the hour hand on a big clock as it swings back and forth, and it knocks down little wooden pegs every 15 or 20 minutes or so. This is the Foucault Pendulum which was discovered in the late 1700's and provided clear proof that the earth rotates around itself about once a day, even though you cannot feel, touch, smell, or "sense" the rotation. Just like the Coriolis Force, the Foucault Pendulum works best near the poles of the earth and does not rotate around at all near or on the equator. It's a very delightful and simple proof of the fact that the earth rotates and "moves," but again 200 years too late for Galileo.
But wait, that is only one part of Galileo's problem. Those two scientific experiments prove that the earth rotates around itself once a day. But can you actually prove that the earth also revolves in a yearly orbit around the sun at about 25,000 miles per hour - even though you can't sense, touch or feel it? Until about 1850 nobody had ever devised any such experiment to show that fact, so Galileo was really out of luck.
EXPERIMENT THREE -- PROVING GALILEO WAS WRONG?
About 1850, American and British physicists Michelson and Morley, devised an exquisite experiment to prove that Galileo was correct and that the earth actually did "move" despite the fact that you can't feel it. They took two beams of light and then sent one beam forward of the earth in its orbit around the sun, and the other beam was sent backwards. The difference in the speed of the two beams of light would finally prove that the earth was "moving" around the sun.
But hold on. The results of the Michelson-Morley experiment, no matter how many times it was repeated by hundreds of other scientists, always showed the beams of light were the same speed in both directions. Thus proving with scientific finality the "truth" that the earth does NOT move. What?? How could that be?
They had proved with the best science instruments of the time, that Galileo was WRONG and that the Catholic Church was correct in convicting Galileo for teaching false "truths." I am sure that you were never taught that in your school, and it was never explained to you why there was such a tumult and turmoil in physics and science from 1850, until 1905.
EINSTEIN ENTERS THE PONTIFF SCRUM
It was into this decades long, scientific scrum, that the young German physicist, Albert Einstein, made the outrageous claim that god plays mysterious tricks on our scientific instruments, and even though the earth "moves," god always makes the masses, lengths and speeds change, to make it appear that the earth does not move. But if the motion of the earth cannot be sensed, and even our best scientific instruments and experiments cannot show the motion, then Einstein's claim must be a "spiritual truth." That is the same "scientific" crime for which Galileo was convicted 300 years earlier.
Since, Einstein had entered into the arena of "truth" using "spiritual mathematics" to make the answer always come out to fit his "belief" that the earth "moved," -- I have always assumed for the last 50 years that Einstein himself was Wrong. That's why I wrote "Where Dr. Einstein Went Wrong," which can be found on the BroJon front page. Do I believe that the earth does not move? No, of course not. But I found another much simpler method to explain the zero result of the M-M experiment, other than Einstein's strange "magical spiritual" mathematics, which are not even mathematically nor arithmatically correct.
THE RULES OF THE TRUTH GAME
If you want to play the "truth" game on the level of Galileo, Newton, Einstein, the Church, or the next generation of scientists beyond Einstein, then you had better be very clear about the big difference between spiritual and physical, "truths" and "facts." Otherwise, you fall into the same trap as Galileo and Einstein and end up using the "Pontiff" mind-control system of truth, which is authenticated only by a vote from the consensus committee, and not by any scientific evidence.
The current "greenhouse priesthood" has shown that they don't have a clue. They are using the "Pontiff" system of a consensus of scientists, or a College of Climate Change Cardinals to proclaim their own brand of "truth." For shame. The "greenhouse priesthood" should start wearing their clerical collars in order to garner the "respect" they so dearly desire. Either that, or get out of the "truth" business entirely. They should turn in their fraudulent scientific degrees and doctorates, and go into something generally more useful for humanity such as real estate, truck driving or running massage parlors.
GALILEO, THE PONTIFF OF THE NEW SCIENCE
And what about Galileo, is it possible to show that the argument between Galileo and the Catholic Church was NOT about the sun being the center of the solar system, as we have all been falsely taught by the new priesthood of science, but instead was the argument about Galileo's claim of a "spiritual truth" that the earth moves? It was actually about Galileo's "Pontiff" claim that he could know "truth" about the earth without any physical evidence. The Vatican Library indicates this in the archived transcript of Galileo's trial 400 years ago. But not everybody has access to the documents of the Vatican Library.
But everybody can find a copy of Galileo's last dying statement, as he died while still under house arrest for his "crimes." Did he say "...See I was right. The sun is the center of the solar system?" No he didn't say that at all, because that was not his claim for which he was arrested and convicted. The last words of Galileo were "....and yet, it moves...."
